Our Services
Lead Based Paint
Safety Environmental conducts lead-based paint inspection, risk assessment, lead abatement management and supervision. Safety Environmental Co. has developed an accurate, legally defensible testing system that uses state-of-the-art instruments, software, validated latest x-ray fluorescence technology (XRF) to perform direct reading measurements and regulatory test protocol in real time on the site, without damage to the painted surfaces.
Asbestos
Safety Environmental does the business of asbestos air monitoring, project monitoring and asbestos inspection. Our specialty trained project monitoring personnel are available to oversee compliance with regulatory stipulations and project plans. We also provide building surveys, bulk sampling and investigation, asbestos abatement, project design specifications, contract maintenance, program development, project supervision, asbestos ACP-5, and inspection reports.
Environmental Site Assessment
Safety Environmental Co. conducts Phase I environmental site assessments necessary to limit the potential financial risks and obligations associated with transfer of property according to ATSM guidelines. We also provide environmental hazards assessment and evaluation, analysis of site conditions and findings and reports.
Safety Environmental Co. also handles Phase II (Substance Investigation). It also provides recommendations tailored to the specific site, determines testing parameters, establishes sampling protocol: soil, ground water, hazardous materials, and develop remediation strategies.
Phase III is a management planning process, remedial activities are prepared to correct any environmental risks/hazards, detected to comply with all applicable federal, state and local codes.
Construction Site Safety & Management
Safety Environmental performs site safety management, construction safety inspections and consultancy. It also handles health and safety accident investigations, loss control consulting, fire safety and safety training. Safety Environmental Co. insures the effective implementation and over-sight of written safety programs.
Dr. Francis Owoh and his Site Safety Managers are reviewing construction site safety programs to ensure safety compliance on projects and to meet site specific OSHA Health and Safety Programs. Safety Environmental Co. can ensure contractors’ compliance with requirements including federal, state and local laws and good safety practice.
Construction Superintendence
Safety Environmental Co. promotes and ensures public safety by assuring construction sites are supervised by an experienced and qualified staff of construction superintendents according to Rule 48 of the New York City Department of Buildings. Generally, we do the following:
Mold/Indoor Air Quality
Safety Environmental performs microbiological sampling, assessment for mold and bacteria, mold remediation and sick building syndrome investigation, biological sampling and testing, air quality monitoring, outdoor air intake, contamination control, H.V.A.C. system inspection and analysis, chemical usage and storage inspection, CO, CO2 and VOC’s.
Underground Storage Tank
Safety Environmental undertakes underground storage tank leak detection and remediation. Safety Environmental will identify the existence and nature of the leak and provides cost effective solution to contamination problems.







Environmental Laboratory Services
Fast, accurate laboratory analysis is critical to the quality of virtually every service that Safety Environmental offers. Our in-house chemistry, microscopy and microbiological laboratories are staffed by scientists. We provide analysis for a full range of parameters in all types of sample media utilizing state of the art instrumentation and stringent laboratory procedures in accordance with protocols prescribes by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, NIOSH, AIHA, NY State ELAP and various state and federal agencies. Laboratory quality control is essential, that’s why we developed a stringent quality control program that that assured accurate laboratory analysis.
Laboratory services include: Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) for the analysis of asbestos. Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AA) for analysis of metals such as lead.
